    3 to 5 + Years IP Experience | $85K‑140K DOE

     

    Our client, a highly-ranked Delaware-based IP litigation practice in a top Law Firm in downtown / Center City Wilmington, Delaware, seeks a full‑time Legal Assistant to join its high‑stakes Intellectual Property litigation team (patent, trademark, copyright). Known for its premier patents and IP litigation matters in federal court, the team has consistently earned Band 1 rankings in national legal guides.     Responsibilities:

    + Support attorneys through all phases of intellectual property litigation, including document preparation, summarization, and court filings

    + Draft and format legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and exhibits for attorney review, ensuring compliance with court rules

    + Prepare and manage electronic filing (e-filing) of documents in federal and state courts, with emphasis on Delaware CM/ECF systems

    + Maintain and organize case files, exhibits, deposition materials, and trial binders for use in hearings, depositions, and trials

    + Track litigation deadlines and manage attorney calendars to ensure timely filings and preparedness

    + Assist with deposition and trial preparation, including document review and summarization

    + Provide administrative and litigation support, including scheduling, client communication, and coordination of service of process

    + Conduct research and assist with drafting legal summaries and other case-related materials

    + Handle confidential information with professionalism in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    + Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, with a strong focus on intellectual property litigation

    + Demonstrated proficiency in federal and state e-filing systems, particularly Delaware CM/ECF

    + Proven ability to manage litigation calendars, docket deadlines, and prepare detailed legal filings

    + Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with a strong attention to detail

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with litigation support software is a plus

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft and proofread legal documents accurately

    + Experienced in trial preparation, including coordinating exhibits and preparing trial binders

    + Reliable, proactive team player with a high degree of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information

    + Willingness to work occasional overtime to meet litigation and client deadlines.
