Description
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Lead to join our team in on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees, utilizing advanced payroll systems and tools. The position offers an opportunity to work in the manufacturing industry while contributing to compliance, efficiency, and employee satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the processing of bi-weekly, monthly, or semi-monthly payrolls, ensuring accuracy for salaries, bonuses, and compensation adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations as well as company policies.
• Verify and reconcile payroll data entries, including uploads, API integrations, and manual inputs.
• Handle payroll-related deductions such as benefits, retirement contributions, and garnishments.
• Perform advanced payroll calculations, including gross-ups and adjustments.
• Maintain organized payroll records and generate detailed reports for audits and management.
• Leverage payroll software to update employee data, including new hires, terminations, pay rates, and system configurations.
• Address employee inquiries regarding payroll discrepancies, taxes, and deductions within established response times.
• Support year-end activities, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements • Extensive experience in full-cycle payroll processing for multi-state operations.
• Proficiency in payroll tools such as ADP Workforce Now and Workday Payroll.
• Strong knowledge of bi-weekly and multi-state payroll processes, including handling payroll for large employee groups.
• Ability to reconcile payroll data and perform complex calculations.
• Familiarity with payroll-related systems and integrations, including equity accounting.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for payroll analysis and reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to effectively resolve employee inquiries and collaborate with teams.
