Description
We are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Manager/Operations Specialist to join our team in Addison, Texas. This is a Contract-to-permanent position that will involve managing and optimizing warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics for a fast-paced apparel and sports equipment environment. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in warehouse management, leadership skills, and a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory organization, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
• Coordinate apparel embellishment workflows such as screen printing, embroidery, and heat pressing to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, reconciliations, and proactive loss prevention measures.
• Collaborate with purchasing and sales teams to forecast inventory needs and optimize stock levels.
• Lead and train warehouse staff, setting performance metrics and enforcing safety protocols.
• Ensure accurate shipping and logistics processes by managing carrier relationships and scheduling deliveries.
• Oversee event equipment preparation and tracking to ensure on-time delivery and functionality for tournaments and other events.
• Implement storage solutions to maintain clean, organized, and compliant warehouse spaces.
• Monitor performance and ensure adherence to deadlines in a high-volume seasonal environment.
Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the apparel or decorated goods industry.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and shipping platforms such as ShipStation or FedEx tools.
• Familiarity with embellishment workflows, including screen printing, embroidery, and heat pressing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing fast-paced seasonal operations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely operate warehouse equipment; forklift certification is a plus.
• Experience coordinating logistics for events or field operations is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace applications.
