Description

We are seeking a Senior IT Security Engineer to lead and evolve our cybersecurity infrastructure, strategy, and incident response capabilities. In this role, you'll play a critical part in safeguarding our enterprise systems, data, and networks from internal and external threats. The ideal candidate has deep experience in network and application security, is passionate about staying ahead of emerging threats, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Design, implement, and maintain security architecture across on-prem and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, etc.)

+ Monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to security threats using SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and other tools

+ Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing; develop remediation plans

+ Lead the implementation of Zero Trust Architecture, PAM solutions, and network segmentation

+ Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with security best practices and regulatory standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, HIPAA)

+ Serve as incident commander for security breaches or investigations, ensuring proper escalation and resolution

+ Evaluate and implement new cybersecurity tools and strategies to enhance the security posture

+ Write and maintain security documentation including policies, runbooks, and playbooks

+ Mentor junior security staff and provide training across technical teams

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)

+ 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or IT security roles

+ Proficiency in SIEM (Splunk, Sentinel, etc.), EDR (CrowdStrike, Defender), firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security

+ Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security, and access controls

+ Hands-on experience with PAM (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust), ZTNA, and vulnerability management tools

+ Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC, etc.) preferred
