Description We are looking for a dedicated Accountant to join our team in Chicago, Illinois, on a long-term contract basis. This role offers an opportunity to apply your financial expertise in a dynamic environment, supporting critical accounting functions and ensuring compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure accuracy and timely completion.

• Maintain and update the general ledger by recording financial transactions and preparing journal entries.

• Perform bank reconciliations to verify and balance accounts on a regular basis.

• Support the preparation of annual financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Review and process expense reports, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies.

• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including analysis and reporting.

• Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial records to maintain accuracy.

• Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting workflows and processes.

• Provide support during audits, ensuring all requested documentation is available.

• Prepare financial summaries and reports for management review. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or related roles.

• Proficiency in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.

• Strong knowledge of journal entries and bank reconciliation processes.

• Experience in preparing annual financial reports and ensuring regulatory compliance.

• Familiarity with expense reporting and corporate accounting standards.

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
