    Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Regulatory and Food Science Specialist to join our client’s team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in regulatory compliance, food science, and quality assurance, with the ability to manage compliance programs and ensure products meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards.     Key Responsibilities:

    + Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable food safety laws and regulations, including [FDA, USDA, FSMA, GFSI, etc.], as well as state and local requirements.

    + Documentation Management: Develop, review, and maintain regulatory documentation such as product labels, certifications, and technical datasheets to ensure compliance.

    + Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R& D, Quality Assurance, and Operations teams to ensure adherence to regulations during product development and production.

    + Product Testing and Analysis: Apply food science expertise to conduct or oversee product testing and analysis, ensuring process and product integrity.

    + Audit Support: Prepare for and support internal/external audits to maintain certification standards and ensure compliance readiness.

    + Regulatory Submissions: Manage domestic and international regulatory submissions, including product registrations, import/export laws, and ingredient approval processes.

    + Risk Assessment: Evaluate regulatory and food safety risks, recommending mitigation measures as needed.

    + Stakeholder Communication: Stay updated on evolving industry regulations and communicate changes across the organization. Conduct training for employees on regulatory and food safety practices.

    Requirements

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field preferred.

    + Minimum 2 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with a focus on regulatory compliance.

    + Expertise in U.S. and/or international food safety regulations, including coding, labeling, and product registration.

    + Experience working with food safety systems such as HACCP, SQF, or ISO standards preferred.

    + Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, ingredients, and food safety best practices.

    + Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills.

    + Familiarity with software tools and systems for regulatory tracking and compliance reporting.
