Description We are looking for a dedicated Attorney to provide legal support to low-income tenants facing eviction in Bronx Housing Court and related hearings. This role involves managing cases, advocating for clients, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure housing stability.

Responsibilities:

• Represent tenants in eviction proceedings, including non-payment and holdover cases.

• Advocate for clients in Bronx Housing Court and during termination hearings.

• Prepare motions, legal documents, and orders to show cause with precision and attention to detail.

• Lead community outreach initiatives and deliver workshops on housing law.

• Partner with caseworkers, paralegals, and team members to address client needs.

• Maintain accurate case records and uphold strict confidentiality standards.

• Participate in a structured four-week training program to enhance legal practice skills. Requirements • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

• Admission to the New York State Bar is mandatory.

• Minimum of one year of legal experience, with two or more years preferred.

• Familiarity with housing law and public benefits in New York.

• Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently.

• Strong skills in legal writing, communication, and organization.

• Spanish language proficiency is preferred but not required.
