Description

Financial advisory firm in Daly City is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their growing finance team in Daly City. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate or an individual with foundational accounting experience eager to launch their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.

As a Junior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy in our records, and assisting the team with various accounting tasks. This position offers a fantastic chance to learn and grow under the guidance of experienced professionals.

Responsibilities:

+ Assist with daily general ledger operations, including posting journal entries and preparing basic reconciliations.

+ Support the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, which may include processing invoices, preparing payments, and assisting with collections.

+ Help with the preparation of bank and credit card reconciliations, identifying and resolving minor discrepancies.

+ Assist in the accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end close procedures.

+ Maintain organized financial records, both physical and electronic, ensuring easy retrieval for audits and reviews.

+ Support the Senior Accountants and Accounting Manager with various financial analyses and report preparation.

+ Learn and become proficient with our accounting software and financial tools.

+ Assist with expense report processing and petty cash management.

+ Ensure adherence to company policies and basic accounting procedures.

+ Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.

+ Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing, with expected graduation within 6 months).

+ 0-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related role (internship experience is highly valued).

+ Fundamental understanding of basic accounting principles.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., basic formulas, data entry) and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.

+ Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) is a plus.

+ Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.

+ Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.

+ Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
