What you’ll do
+ Design and execute reliability test plans for mechanical and electro-mechanical systems, including cyclic testing of sub system components.
+ Analyze complex systems and breaking testing down into subsystem components for effective testing
+ Accelerated lifecycle testing to evaluate life expectancy of mechanical components
+ Predictive analytics to determine preventive maintenance schedules
+ Specify, develop, or guide the fabrication of custom test fixtures using internal teams or external vendors (e.g., CNC machining, weld fabrication).
+ Automating tests and collecting results for analysis through scripting or other means
+ Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
+ Statistical analysis and data interpretation
+ Able to work independently and make decisions with limited supervision
+ Advanced troubleshooting experience
+ Collaborate with design, electrical, and systems engineering teams to support product reliability efforts.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
+ 5-7 years of experience in reliability testing, mechanical validation, or test engineering.
+ Experience in complex electro/mechanical systems i.e. AGVs, AMRs, robotics
+ Experience with reliability techniques i.e. FMEA, RCA, FTA, DoE, DMAIC
+ Familiarity with mechanical fixture design, structural analysis, or test automation.
+ Experience with reliability methodologies such as Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), Six Sigma, or Lean.
+ Proficient in data analysis and statistical methods to interpret test results and failure patterns.
+ Understanding industrial hardware and component manufacturing processes.
+ Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, AutoDesk)
+ Familiarity with electrical or control systems integration is a plus.
+ Experience with reliability analysis software i.e. Minitab, JMP
Nice-to-Have Skills:
+ Experience inspecting hydraulic or pneumatic components (e.g., cylinders) under magnification.
+ Understanding of test fixture ergonomics, mobility within a facility, and adaptability to various environmental constraints.
+ Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems or basic electrical diagnostics.
