    Robert Half Accountemps (Memphis, TN)


    Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a small manufacturing company based in Memphis, Tennessee. This Contract-to-Permanent position requires someone who can efficiently manage daily financial operations, including reconciliations, payroll processing, and data entry. The right candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment while maintaining focus on individual responsibilities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform daily reconciliations for sales transactions and credit card activities to ensure accuracy.

    • Maintain and update sales records from e-commerce platforms, mail-order catalogs, and other sources.

    • Process accounts payable by entering invoices and coordinating weekly check runs.

    • Manage payroll for 26 hourly employees weekly and 2 salaried employees monthly using a time clock system.

    • Utilize QuickBooks Online for all financial tasks, including reporting and record-keeping.

    • Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and transactions.

    • Assist with moderate Excel tasks, including basic data organization and pivot tables, if needed.

    • Collaborate with team members and provide support in other areas as required.

    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

    • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online for financial management and reporting.

    • Strong skills in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

    • Ability to perform accurate bank and credit card reconciliations.

    • Familiarity with e-commerce sales systems and data tracking.

    • Moderate proficiency in Excel; knowledge of pivot tables is a plus.

    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented workplace.
