Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Muskegon, Michigan. In this role, you will manage credit and collections processes, ensuring the timely and accurate application of payments and overseeing billing functions. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement following the initial training period and provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process and apply incoming payments accurately to customer accounts.

• Monitor and manage commercial collections to ensure timely resolution of outstanding balances.

• Coordinate and execute billing functions, ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Analyze cash activity and maintain detailed records of all transactions.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address discrepancies and improve accounts receivable workflows.

• Utilize SAP for efficient management of accounts receivable tasks and reporting.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to support credit and collections activities.

• Prepare reports and provide insights into accounts receivable performance and trends.

• Assist with month-end closing processes related to accounts receivable.

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy in the accounts receivable process. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, including cash applications and collections.

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.

• Proficiency in ERP systems for accounts receivable tasks.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with commercial collections processes and practices.
