Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a leading chemicals manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments and maintaining compliance with company procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices for accuracy, ensuring proper account coding and adherence to company procedures.

• Manage payments through Automated Clearing House (ACH) systems and oversee check runs.

• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Maintain detailed records of all payment activities for auditing purposes.

• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless invoice processing and payment approvals.

• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies in all accounts payable activities. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable within a detail-oriented environment.

• Proficiency in account coding and invoice processing.

• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) systems and check run procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.

• Ability to resolve discrepancies and reconcile accounts effectively.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams.

• Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
