*Primary Care/Internal Medicine Opening in Brookfield, Connecticut (90 miles from New York City)*

**

Affiliated with Danbury Hospital, Nuvance Health, is seeking a per diem *Primary Care* *Physician* for our Brookfield Primary Care practice in Brookfield, Connecticut. We are located in suburban Fairfield County, just 90 miles from New York City. This is an employed position with Nuvance Health Medical Practice. We offer a highly competitive hourly rate, eligibility to participate in a 401k and wellness program.

The ideal candidate will be a compassionate primary care physician who will provide comprehensive care in a team-based environment to our population of patients. This includes not only caring for acute and chronic conditions but working with multidisciplinary support staff to promote the health and well-being of our entire panel of covered lives.

Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our Medical Group includes 1000+ employed physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout Western Connecticut and eastern New York.

Danbury, Connecticut, located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and on the border of New York State, is about 70 miles northeast of New York City and 60 miles west of Hartford, CT. As part of the greater NY metropolitan area, the city of Danbury enjoys both proximity to New York City culture and access to a wide array of four-season recreational activities. Home to Western Connecticut State University, Danbury has abundant local historical, cultural, educational, and recreational attractions. The area has highly rated public and private school systems and universities. Boston, New York City, New Haven and Hartford are easily accessible via train, car, or bus.

*Job Requirements:*

* MD or DO with CT State License, Federal DEA and CT State Controlled Substance Registration

* Successful completion of Internal or Family Medicine Residency training.

* Board Certified or Board Eligible

* Work about one weekday per week as needed
