Job Description
Assistant Coach, Men's & Women's Track and Cross Country
This is a full-time position reporting to the Head Coach/Director of the Men's and Women's Cross
Country/Track and Field program.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Supporting the Head Coach in assisting with all recruiting and fund raising activities, coordination and
timely submission of all recruiting logs, telephone logs, and play/practice logs, and transportation of
student-athletes to local practices and competitions. Preferred experience as a Director of Operations in
the sport of Track and field, coaching background working cross country, mid distance and distance
events.
Applicant will need to have the ability to recruit at a high academic and athletic level those prospective
student-athletes that meet the admissions requirements at Boston College.
Salary commensurate with experience
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years successful director of operations/coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate
level.
• Managing team travel, including transportation, accommodations, and meals, as well as
scheduling practice sessions and competition.
• Experience logging CARA/RARA hours using Teamworks/ARMS software
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with college student athletes, athletic staff, University personnel and
Alumni.
• Proficient computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite and File Maker Pro.
This position will be expected to perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with all
NCAA, ACC and Institutional rules.
