To continue laying the groundwork and challenge what's possible for our business, we seek to partner with individuals ready to elevate their careers with us. *SUMMARY:*Responsible for strategic and operational leadership overseeing Crowley’s intermodal, drayage and rail logistics functions. *GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:*Drives performance across transportation modes with a focus on optimizing cost, service quality, and operational efficiency. Will develop and execute multimodal strategies, manage high-level carrier relationships, and provide strong leadership to an operational team. *Strategic & Operational Leadership* • Lead and execute the strategy for intermodal operations, integrating truck, rail, and drayage solutions. • Develop scalable business plans to support growth in our markets. • Drive P&L accountability with budgets, optimizing cost and service performance. • Evaluate operational metrics, manage KPIs, and report performance to executive leadership. *Carrier & Vendor Management* • Oversee all carrier relations, contract negotiations, and performance management. • Ensure compliance with DOT, federal, and environmental regulations. *Customer Focus & Commercial Execution* • Partner with Sales, Customer Service, and Logistics to deliver seamless end-to-end transportation solutions. • Quote competitive rates and identify innovative routing options to increase market competitiveness. • Expand existing accounts and develop new business through operational excellence and customer satisfaction. *Technology & Process Optimization* • Drive technology adoption including TMS platforms and analytics tools for visibility, efficiency, and automation. • Lead continuous improvement and process redesign to meet strategic goals. • Monitor market trends, demand shifts, and capacity conditions to inform operational decisions. • Leadership & Team Development • Manage and develop a team of managers, supervisors, and operational staff managing several domestic regions. • Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture with strong employee engagement and retention initiatives. • Lead training, development, and performance management for team members. *EDUCATION:*Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field; equivalent experience considered. *EXPERIENCE:*10 years of progressive leadership in Logistics. Proven success managing truck and rail-based logistics networks and P&L accountability. Deep understanding of DOT regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
