DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The Human Resources Clerk is responsible for clerical support for the Human Resources Department and providing support for other areas as requested. This position’s specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the subsequent items, and are characterized in the following five standards of performance, defined as below:
* Part-time, 20 hours/week must be flexible.
I. JOB KNOWLEDGE
+ Experience working in Human Resources a plus.
+ Maintain all employees electronic and hard copy files
+ Provide clerical assistance on a regular basis for the department and other program areas as requested
+ Assist with site receptionist and telephone operator duties as needed
+ Assist visitors, people receiving services, their families and support services when arriving at the site as needed
+ Assist with special projects and mailings
+ Maintain confidentiality of information
+ Attend various Human Resources events as requested
+ Act as role model to staff and to people receiving services
+ Any additional duties as assigned
II. TEAMWORK
+ Encourage and maintain a positive working relationship with all departments in the agency, parents, staff, consumer, and community partners
+ Communicate all health, safety, consumer and/or program concerns, sensitive situations, and incidents to supervisor
+ Attend and participate in all required and/or requested departmental or agency meetings
III. DOCUMENTATION
+ Complete required documentation in conformance with rules, regulations, policies and procedures and billing practices
+ Perform documentation reviews to ensure records are maintained in conformance with rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and billing practices
IV. COMPLIANCE & ACCOUNTABILITY
+ Identify and report any untoward incidents
+ Identify, report and/or correct all safety hazards including physical plant problems and/or problem work practices and assist with investigating all work-related accidents as requested
+ Participate in any investigations as required
+ Comply with all State and Federal regulations along with agency policies and practices
V. TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
+ Attend all training and staff meetings as required by the department, agency, and/or State and Federal regulations
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of three (3) years experience working in a related field

A combination of education and experience that in the opinion of the reviewing agency, exceeds the above standards of the program
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (essential functions):
+ Possess excellent interpersonal, written, oral, and communication abilities
+ Possess effective time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
+ Able to work scheduled hours that may include mandatory overtime, weekend, and/or holiday timeframes.
+ Maintain an acceptable work attendance as defined in the agency’s employee policy manual and handbook.
+ Able to independently manage multiple projects and complete assignments accurately and within the assigned timeframe
+ Be computer literate with knowledge in agency operating systems and have excellent aptitude with applicable software required for department needs, including Microsoft Word and Excel
+ Able to work independently and as a member of a team
+ Demonstrate sound judgment in normal work and emergency situations
+ Must physically be able to perform required certifications, lift 25 pounds and be able to sit at the worksite for an extended period of time
+ Possess a valid driver’s license acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier
+ Be able to perform the duties listed in the Position Abilities section for the position
Salary Description
$15.50 - $17.00/hr
