Whether it’s by herding cattle, working under the hood of a vehicle, crafting custom log furniture, or welding, the men and women involved in MCE programs while incarcerated leave prison knowing their future is as bright as they choose to make it. *JOB SUMMARY:*** The MCE*Ranch Supervisor*is responsible for agricultural operations that include beef cattle, dairy cattle, crops, feedlots, land management, wild land fire crew and other associated programs. This position includes direct supervisory responsibilities over inmate workers in all aspects of the crops enterprise and assists other agricultural units. This position demands a combination of hands-on agricultural knowledge, regulatory awareness, program coordination skills, and strong communication abilities. For a complete job description, please email Macee Larkins at [email protected] The hourly rate of this position will increase by $1.00 per hour or 2.5%, whichever is greater, effective July 1, 2025 and July 1, 2026, in accordance with HB13. Pay increases for union positions are contingent upon a ratified collective bargaining agreement. *QUALIFICATIONS:* The knowledge, skills and abilities for this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to a: * Bachelor’s degree in an agricultural field or four years of agricultural experience. * Three years of relevant ranching experience, including a minimum of one in a supervisory capacity. * Experience must include working an agriculture operation with responsibilities in crop production, farming equipment operation and maintenance. Training and supervising hard to train workers or students will be given preference.
