    The Deputy Treasurer, Corporate Finance and Strategy is a key partner to the VP, Finance and Treasury, with responsibility for Treasury finance, controllership, compliance, reporting, systems, and strategy. This person will lead Stryker’s corporate finance activities, including developing the Capital Plan and recommending capital allocation priorities. This person will also coordinate and influence across functions and divisions to develop enhanced forecasting processes for Cash Flow and Other Income and Expense, and to develop and implement strategies to enhance Treasury efficiency, technology, reporting and processes. Finally, this person will oversee the implementation of comprehensive Treasury policies and procedures, as well as all Treasury related accounting and compliance activities.

    Capital Planning, Forecasting and Reporting:

    + Prepare annual capital plan in collaboration with key stakeholders, including FP&A, IR and business development.

    + Develop the company’s capital allocation strategy through benchmarking, analytics on return tradeoffs and understanding of investor expectations.

    + Lead development of materials used for quarterly Board of director discussions on capital planning and allocation.

    + Act as point person for Corporate FP&A for all forecasting and reporting, including completion of forecasts including impacts from M&A

    + Oversee cash flow forecasting and reporting up through the SLT and Board

    + Lead project management efforts to improved working capital efficiency through partnership across GQO, divisions and Corporate.

    + Implement process enhancements to Capex forecasting and target setting, including reporting up through the SLT.

    + Own forecasting and reporting off Other Income and Expense.

    + Evaluate current state FX processes and oversee implementation of process enhancements, including simplification and centralization.

    + Act as point person for Investor Relations for all Treasury related earnings scripting/Q&A

    + Lead development of general treasury presentations for internal communications/education sessions and internal team meetings

    + Implement LEAN philosophy across Treasury, including identification and implement of key KPIs

    + Develop and oversee the Treasury budget.

    Controllership and Compliance:

    + Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to capital markets transactions, disclosures, and reporting.

    + Oversee all Treasury controllership/accounting activities, including but not limited to, debt instrument and derivative accounting and effectiveness testing for hedges.

    + Implement a comprehensive set of policies and procedures defining Treasury roles and responsibilities for key activities.

    + Act as the interface with both internal audit and E&Y on Treasury related audits.

    Strategy and Systems:

    + Oversee development of short, medium and long term systems and technology strategy for Treasury.

    + Complete the implementation of the Treasury management system will full training and roll out across the function.

    + Partner with senior IT leaders to plan, budget and implement strategic vision and act as key Treasury point of contact for company-wide ERP implementations

    + Lead coordination of Treasury related activities for M&A integrations.

    Team Leadership and Development:

    + Lead a team of professionals responsible for Treasury forecasting, controllership, compliance, reporting, strategy and systems, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.

    + Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and professional development within the team.

    Education & Special Trainings:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).

    Qualifications & Experience:

    + 15+ years of Finance experience, with 7+ years leading teams.

    + Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.

    + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to interact with executive leadership.
