**VCA McCormick Ranch Animal Hospital and Emergency Center in Scottsdale, Arizona** is seeking for a CVT or 3-5 years experienced Surgery Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

Schedule: 4/day work week: Tuesday-Friday

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.

In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include:

Assist with** **anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery

Prepare surgical patients and maintain sterile technique in the OR

Prepare and perform dental** **prophylaxis

Perform** **post-operative care** **, treatments, and documentation

Collaborate with DVMs and the surgical support team to provide top-tier care

Communicate compassionately with clients and ensure patients are treated with kindness, dignity, and professionalism

Help with department flow, scheduling, and maintaining equipment and surgical supplies
