Junior Accountant
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team. This role involves performing essential accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and collaborating with various departments.
Responsibilities
+ Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
+ Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with accounting standards.
+ Assist with sales tax calculations, filings, and compliance across jurisdictions.
+ Utilize Visual 1 Software for data entry, reporting, and financial tracking.
+ Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
+ Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation.
+ Collaborate with senior accountants and other departments as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ 1-3 years of accounting experience in bank reconciliation, journal entries, and sales tax.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Familiarity with Visual 1 Software is a strong advantage.
+ Experience in the hospitality or related industry.
Work Environment
This is an in-person office environment where you will report to senior accounting personnel. Expect a collaborative setting with opportunities to engage with various departments and utilize modern accounting software.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
