    WORK HOURS: PRN Days

    DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS:

    * Equipment – Philips EPIQ

    HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

    * H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required

    * Graduate of an AMA approved / accredited Ultrasound Program preferred

    * Associate degree preferred

    * 1 Year experience in a hospital setting Required

    * BCLS—Basic Cardiac Life Support—prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and

    * ARRT—American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography—upon hire preferred OR

    * ARRT—American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Sonography—within 12 months required AND

    * ARDMS—American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers—Upon Hire preferred OR

    * ARDMS—American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers—within 12 months required

    * Other RVT or VT(RVS) as one modality if performing vascular sonography Upon Hire Req

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    * Imaging Procedures, Quality and Processing:

    * Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to and during exam.

    * Images correct anatomical area of interest and pathology according to department protocols.

    * Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.

    * Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, suggest Differential diagnosis.

    * Utilizes proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RIS.

    * Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.
