• Mid-Level Civil Engineer

    Actalent Honolulu is seeking a mid-level Civil Engineer III to support infrastructure and site development projects across Hawai‘i.

     

    The Civil Engineer plays a key role in delivering civil engineering design and coordination for a variety of projects. This position involves performing technical tasks, guiding junior engineers, and collaborating with clients and project teams to ensure high-quality, timely, and cost-effective outcomes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Perform moderate portions of broader engineering assignments.

    + Conduct calculations, data analysis, and routine testing.

    + Propose solutions to new problems using standard methods.

    + Identify and resolve discrepancies in engineering results.

    + Provide guidance to entry-level engineers.

    + Independently complete primary design elements.

    + Attend client meetings and coordinate with diverse project teams.

    + Communicate effectively with internal teams, partners, agencies, and clients.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

    + Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Valid U.S. driver’s license preferred (for site visits).

    Preferred Skills:

    + Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.

    + Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    + Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools.

    + Prior experience with engineering firms, contractors, or government agencies in civil-related projects (e.g., water resources, site development, transportation, stormwater, wastewater).

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
