    Responsibilities

    Delivers peri-operative care to AM admit and outpatient surgical and procedural sedation patients and discharges outpatients after their procedure. Functions independently and collaboratively with other nursing staff members to assess and evaluate patients. Responsible for care of adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations. Delivers pre and post procedure care in out-patient setting for a variety of patients admitted under OBSERVATION or short term status. Has core competencies for post cardiac and vascular cath procedures, and has minimum of 1 year experience full time in post procedure/intervention unit.

     

    Specific experience and skills with vascular closure devises required. Experience with conscious sedation required. Works collaboratively in team setting and has cardiac monitoring and hemodynamic experience. CCRN preferred. ICU, Cardiac Cath Lab or CIU, PACU experience required. Flexible with scheduling in out-patient setting, and has demonstrated ability to learn new procedures quickly and advocate for patients across the continuum of care. Computer skills with hospital record required, with demonstrated competency in patient history taking and medication reconciliation with time constraints of pre and post setting, patient "turn-a-round" to discharge

     

    ALL REGISTERED NURSES will render professional nursing care to patients, support medical care as directed by physicians. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health/Dominican Hospital. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.     Qualifications

    Requirements:

    + 1 Year Recent hospital experience and/or previous nursing practice experience.

    Education:

    + ASN or Nursing Diploma, required

    Licensure:

    + Current and active CA RN license

    + Current BLS certification, required from American Heart Association

    + Current ACLS certification, required from American Heart Association

    + Current NIHSS Stroke certification, required

    Preferred:

    + BSN, preferred

    Pay Range

    $99.36 - $107.31 /hour
