    Job Description

    Join our team of dedicated professionals in a dynamic clinic environment, assisting in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management. You will play a vital role in supporting physicians and physician assistants by performing nursing and administrative duties.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare patients for examination and treatment by taking vital signs, reviewing medications and allergies, and entering health questionnaire information into the EMR system, WebChart.

    + Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and maintained.

    + Assist physicians or PAs in preparing for medical procedures and verify patients by their date of birth and full name.

    + Perform procedures and complete accompanying paperwork accurately and efficiently.

    + Promote the office discharge process by scheduling requested testing, writing lab orders and prescriptions, and providing patients with instructions or faxing orders to the appropriate facility.

    + Triage telephone calls for referrals to physicians or nurse practitioners.

    + Restock examination rooms weekly to ensure preparedness for patient care.

    Essential Skills

    + Certified Medical Assistant with certifications like CMA, CCMA, RMA, AAMA, NHA, etc., maintained in good standing.

    + Experience in patient care, insurance billing, and blood collection.

    + Excellent patient care and customer service skills.

    + Ability to act calmly and effectively in busy or stressful situations.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + MA certification currently in good standing is a plus.

    + Experience in rheumatology, internal medicine, or pediatrics is beneficial.

    + Experience with the WebChart EMR system.

    + Completion of MA schooling.

    Work Environment

    Work hours are from 8am to 5:30pm with the possibility of starting as early as 7am depending on patient lab requirements. The work environment is fast-paced and team-oriented, requiring a cooperative spirit. No weekend work is required. A six-week training program is provided to support your transition into the role. Candidates should be adaptable, ready to tackle a variety of tasks, and maintain a positive work environment.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $24.00/hr.
