Actalent Honolulu is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead technical design and coordination efforts on a wide range of infrastructure and site development projects across Hawai‘i and beyond.

The Senior Civil Engineer provides technical leadership and oversight for civil engineering projects, including the development of designs, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates. This role involves managing project tasks, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions. The ideal candidate is experienced in site/civil design and capable of working on both domestic and international projects.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Serve as a senior technical resource and team lead.

+ Provide specialized input on studies and designs.

+ Develop procedures to ensure high-quality, cost-effective work.

+ Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of deliverables.

+ Prepare construction cost estimates and technical effort projections.

+ Lead preparation of PS&E (Plans, Specifications & Estimates) packages.

+ Perform quality control reviews of calculations and drawings.

+ Draft technical specification sections.

+ Contribute to engineering budgets and schedules.

+ Present design solutions and collaborate with internal teams.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

+ Minimum 6 years of experience in civil/site design or equivalent combination of education and experience.

+ Valid U.S. driver’s license required (for site visits).

Preferred Skills:

+ 8+ years of experience in civil engineering and building development projects.

+ PE license in Civil Engineering.

+ Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools.

+ Experience with permitting and site/land development.

+ Strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines.

+ Experience on large, complex projects or programs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
