    Embedded Software Engineer- Alternative Energy

    Description

    Development of Embedded Source Code in C to update a Legacy Instrument to implement new features;

    •Code Developed in C for 80386 and Z80 microprocessors.

    •Testing of developed SW on-site at GEVH Wilmington.

    •Create supporting specifications and test reports.

    •Other duties as needs require and skill set allows

    + Implement a previously defined Stability Algorithm into Safety-related software currently executing in an operating plant (2 or more different plants).

    + Update User Interface software (non-Safety) for the new Stability Algorithm

    + Perform Code Review of Safety and non-Safety related software against GEVH Coding Conventions & standard C coding practices.

    + Perform Unit and Integration testing of updated code on-site in Wilmington, N.C.

    + Document & release the updated software package

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    1.Experience with C programming for Intel and Zilog microprocessors (80386, Z80)

    2.Ability to understand and modify assembly code

    3.Ability to convert legacy code in old languages (PL/M, Pascal) to C

    4.Experience with creating and qualifying Safety-Related code written in C

     

    Experience with Unit and Integration testing of Embedded Systems with tight timing constraints

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.
