Job Title: Product Development Engineer
Job Description
Join a leading automotive manufacturer specializing in the development and production of shock absorbers and power steering systems for both two and four-wheeled vehicles. We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to lead capital investment opportunities and play a crucial role in our engineering team.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety policies and procedures and promptly reporting any safety issues to management.
+ Engage actively in daily production floor activities to resolve equipment concerns and ensure smooth operations.
+ Participate in and drive process improvement activities to enhance efficiency and productivity.
+ Implement continuous improvements within cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
+ Manage all phases of multiple concurrent projects, from concept to implementation and beyond, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
+ Create and deliver effective presentations on recommended solutions and alternatives to stakeholders.
+ Collaborate with vendors, staff, and management to discuss purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status.
+ Handle special projects as directed by management to support company objectives.
+ Support departmental business plan objectives and contribute to 5S activities to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
+ Contribute to the development of new models, ensuring innovative and efficient designs.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
+ 3+ years of experience in Project Management within Product Development, covering all project phases from cradle to grave.
+ 3+ years of experience in a high-volume assembly operations/manufacturing environment.
+ Experience with capital investments and lean manufacturing principles.
+ Expertise in designing and implementing solutions to production equipment problems, ranging from simple modifications to complete design and build issues.
+ Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with poka-yokes, equipment modifications, and reverse engineering.
+ Automotive industry experience.
+ Familiarity with SolidEdge.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $55.29/hr.
