Job Summary

Duties and responsibilities include:

1. Stay current in the management in allergy immunology care through continuing education, research, and professional development.

2. See patients of all ages for acute and chronic allergy conditions.

3. Be compassionate, warmth, and patient focused.

4. Gather patient health history and obtaining physical examination.

5. Assisting physicians with patient examinations and treatment procedures.

6. Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests such as skin tests, blood tests, and pulmonary function tests (spirometry, exhaled nitric oxide, and impulse oscillometry).

7. Prescribing medications and immunotherapy under the supervision of the physician, as allowed by state regulations.

8. Supervising immunotherapy injections and oral challenges.

9. Providing education to patients about allergy triggers, management strategies, and medication use.

10. Documenting patient visits and treatment plans in electronic medical records (Epic).

11. Assisting with patient follow-ups and monitoring patient progress.

12. Communicating with other healthcare providers regarding patient care.

13. If interested, can participate in clinical trials.

QUALIFICATIONS

+ EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program

+ EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION

+ Nurse Practitioner (NP)

+ Registered Nurse (RN)

+ Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.
