    Job Description

    Practice Manager MSH Adolescent Health Center FT Days

     

    The SBHC Program Manager is responsible for the operations of six MSAHC School Based Health Centers operated by the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center (MSAHC). The SBHC Program Manager will administer the fiscal affairs, personnel management and daily operations in accordance with Mount Sinai Hospital and Ambulatory Care policy and procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines.

     

    Reporting MSAHC Operations Manager, and with a dotted line to the SBHC Medical Director, the SBHC Program Manger works closely with liaisons from the Office of School Health in the NY Department of Education.

     

    When fully staffed each SBHC has one medical provider, one mental health clinician/social, one health educator and one medical office specials who does registration, blood draws and point of care testing. The SBHC Program Manager is part of the SBHC Leadership which consists of the SBHC Medical Director, MSAHC Operations Manager, and the MAHC Supervisors Mental Health Clinicians/Social Workers and Health Educators

    Qualifications

    + Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field; Bachelors degree preferred.

    + 5 years medical insurance experience including medical office administration, benefit verification.

     

    Compensation Statement

     

    The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $80,000.00 - $91,052.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

    Responsibilities

    The SBHC Program Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:

    Personnel Management

     

    In conjunction with the Medical Director, co-supervises and co-trains 7 Medical Office Specialists and provides retraining and in-servicing of staff on new procedures and protocols.

     

    Assists in recruitment, hiring, orientation, development and performance management.

     

    In conjunction with the SBHC leadership, manages staff schedules, ensuring the SBHC are staffed appropriately and there is coverage in all areas during office hours and helps to oversee the timely submission of timesheets for and employee leave records

     

    Office Operations

     

    Oversees daily operations and delegates authority to assigned staff as appropriate.

     

    Back up operational functions as needed.

     

    Responsible for expediting patient flow through the practice and ensure that patients are seen in a timely manner.

     

    Addresses patient and staff concerns in consultation with SBH leadership.

     

    Maintain liaison with all levels of administration, faculty, and/or outside organizations to coordinate day-to-day operations

     

    In conjunction with the School Based Health leadership, assures overall compliance of all internal and external regulatory requirements including infection control and environmental safety

     

    Assists SBHC Medical Director in leading performance improvement efforts that increase overall effectiveness of health center operations, improve patient experience and drive patient satisfaction.

     

    Financial and Business Affairs

     

    Monitors requisitioning of medical supplies, materials and equipment in a timely manner, tracks vendor payments and accounts payable.

     

    In conjunction with the SBHC Medical Director, monitors practice productivity and quality metrics determined by the Mount Sinai Hospital Ambulatory Care and the Department of Education Office of School Health, prepares budget, operations and statistical reports.

     

    Other duties as assigned.
