Sigma Design has collaborated with a global leader in synthetic diamonds and tungsten carbide super materials manufacturing is seeking an experienced Production Lead to join their facility in Gresham OR. This company has grown as a forefront innovator in CVD diamond technologies.
What Is Offered:
+ 4 weeks PTO, 1 week sick leave, 3% non-elective matching 401k
+ $26.00/hr
+ 4/3 rotation of 12 hour shifts, OT after 10 hour shift
Primary Function:
The Production Lead is responsible for working with the Production Manager in coordinating activities on the production floor, preparing reports, and performing training activities. This is a rare opportunity to be a key contributor in establishing a new large scale production facility.
Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
+ Coordinate activities and assign personnel according to production requirements.
+ Train and / or coordinate the training of Production Technicians.
+ Attend weekly meetings with the Production Manager.
+ Communicate with Production Manager on team performance.
+ Coordinate with Production Leads across shifts on WIP, staffing, and other necessary communication.
+ Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.
+ Perform Production tasks as follows:
+ Perform machine set-up/operation, routine maintenance, and monitoring of tools and systems.
+ Utilize diagnostic equipment to monitor equipment performance, diagnose root cause and make reliability improvement recommendations.
+ Be responsible for first-level trouble-shooting, equipment recoveries and repairs that are commensurate with level of expertise, (training provided).
+ Read production schedules, Bills of Materials, Operational Procedures.
+ Maintain accurate records and be responsible for quality charting, prioritization, analyzing and interpreting data tracking, and running reports through an automated Manufacturing Execution System.
+ Engage in continuous improvement efforts.
+ Notify management of any conditions felt as being undesirable or nonconforming to safety, product specification or any procedures that cannot be performed as documented.
+ Provide written and verbal summaries of process, and equipment issues encountered during operation.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
+ Two years manufacturing experience preferred
+ Experience working a 4/3 shift pattern.
+ Ability to work in a fast moving work environment
+ Comfortable in dealing with change.
+ Understands the importance of and has the ability to communicate effectively.
+ Comfortable working with other shifts and departments to help drive operational improvements
+ Good written and verbal communication skills, Good PC skills, Ability to operate to a manufacturing standard.
+ Background - Pass a post-offer background verification.
Work Environment
Shop: Standard machine shop environment with various types of machinery. Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn. Must be able to stand and work as long as 12 hours in different positions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
