    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of a high-speed printing press or technical machinery. Your focus will be on implementing time-saving practices to minimize downtime and setup times while ensuring high-quality products are delivered to our customers.

    Responsibilities

    + Setup and operate a high-speed printing press machine.

    + Maintain a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing safety.

    + Limit scrap waste, deliver it to the designated department, and accurately tag for waste reporting.

    + Collect top and bottom sheets (dunnage) to expedite the converting process.

    + Practice good lockout/tagout procedures.

    + Follow reporting processes for accurate completion of production paperwork and CTI/HRMS.

    + Mount die boards and assist in machine setup to ensure continuous operation.

    + Read and understand production order copies for each production run and assist in ensuring quality.

    + Understand machine mechanical functionality and perform in-depth cleaning of the press as scheduled.

    Essential Skills

    + 2 years of high-speed package operating experience.

    + Ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler, and use basic shop math.

    + Experience working in a high-speed packaging environment.

    + Ability to package and label products.

    + Work with a sense of urgency without compromising attention to detail and quality.

    + Comfortable lifting up to 60 lbs. throughout the day.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a brand new, spacious 550,000 square foot facility featuring 26 dock doors and state-of-the-art technology. Although not climate-controlled, the facility is well-ventilated, with warmer temperatures expected during summer months. Safety equipment such as steel-toed boots, safety vests, glasses, and ear protection is required. The facility includes Converting and Corrugating Departments, operating in shifts: 1st shift (5:45 am - 2:00 pm), 2nd shift (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm), and 3rd shift (10:00 pm - 6:30 am). Prepare for 8-hour days with potential 10-hour shifts and 50-hour work weeks.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
