    Job Title: Seed Lab Technician

    Job Description

    Join the team as a Seed Lab Technician, where you will play a crucial role in our quality assurance process by evaluating the viability of seedlings. You will perform standard germination tests on various seeds, such as corn, soybeans, and wheat, and record your observations using a tablet. A comprehensive training program lasting 30 days will equip you with the necessary skills, during which perfect attendance is essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct standard germination tests by rolling seeds on paper towels and wax paper.

    + Place seeds in a germinator and evaluate seedlings for viability.

    + Enter data findings into a tablet to maintain quality metrics.

    + Collaborate with a team to ensure accurate and timely evaluation of plant samples.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in data entry.

    + Ability to perform standard germination testing.

    + Attention to detail.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Willingness to work overtime and weekends occasionally if needed.

    + Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

    Work Environment

     

    This is a fully on-site position in Tipton, IN within a high-energy laboratory setting. The lab consists of a team of 30-50 workers, where collaboration and teamwork are key. The environment is temperature-controlled, requiring a combination of sitting and standing work. Business casual attire is expected, including a collared shirt and long pants with closed-toed shoes. The shift is primarily day shift from 7AM-3:30PM, with potential for extended hours or shift changes.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
