Job Title: Foundry Melt Supervisor

Job Description

Join a company with a rich heritage in manufacturing high-quality railroad industry products. As a Melt Supervisor, you will lead a team in crafting innovative solutions with a focus on continual improvement and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

+ Repair and maintain furnaces.

+ Order necessary melt materials.

+ Train employees on correct melt procedures.

+ Develop and implement melt procedures.

+ Manage continual improvement initiatives.

+ Oversee pouring operations.

+ Maintain the department with a 5S philosophy.

+ Cross-train employees for operational flexibility.

+ Reduce or eliminate melt-related scrap.

+ Conduct oneself in a professional manner.

+ Be knowledgeable of the company's ISO program.

+ Perform any and all other job-related tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills

+ High School degree or equivalent.

+ Five years of melting experience.

+ Experience in foundry, molding, and supervision.

+ Ability to follow strict safety programs.

+ Attentive to detail and ability to communicate in a team setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Undergraduate degree or equivalent (optional).

+ Prior forklift experience is a plus.

+ Experience in the manufacturing industry.

+ Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

+ Tolerance to extreme temperatures.

+ Capability to stand for long durations.

+ Adaptability and good attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
