Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Work independently and collaboratively with plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks. Troubleshoot and repair failures on production equipment, assist with installation of new equipment, and support techs and engineers to ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
+ Actively seek input from equipment users, process techs, and engineers to ensure existing equipment is operating with no downtime and high efficiencies.
+ Proactively resolve systemic problems and identify cost-saving ideas; communicate and recommend repairs to the maintenance team.
+ Collaborate with engineering and process techs to assist in implementing large-scale projects, including design and fabrication of basic components, design, and programming of electronic controls, including PLCs.
+ Repair and maintain machinery and equipment such as stamping presses, take-ups, decoilers, and straighteners.
+ Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, and contactors as required.
+ Perform preventative, predictive, and emergency work order repairs, inspections, and adjustments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2-year degree in a technical field with 2 years of industrial maintenance experience OR 4+ years of industrial maintenance.
+ 1+ year experience with AC/DC principles.
+ 1+ year using precision measuring equipment such as torque wrenches, micrometers, and calipers.
+ Ability to use a multi-meter for electrical troubleshooting.

Work Environment
The work environment is extremely clean, bright, and comfortable, with heated and air-conditioned conditions. It is humidity-controlled due to working with plastics and electronics. The team consists of 40 members across shifts, working with large equipment in a spacious area. The positions available are on the 2nd shift from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, and the 3rd shift from 10:30 pm to 7:00 am, with flexibility of plus or minus 30 minutes. The dress code includes steel-toed shoes, jeans, a plain t-shirt, hearing protection, and safety glasses.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lincoln, Nebraska.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.25/hr.
