Job Title: Shop Manager
Job Description
The Shop Manager will oversee daily operations of fleet trucks and equipment, managing a team of six mechanics. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, maintaining fleet schedules, coordinating timely repairs, ordering materials, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring vehicles meet inspection standards.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure compliance with DOT regulations for fleet vehicles.
+ Manage and supervise a team of six mechanics.
+ Maintain and oversee the schedule of fleet operations.
+ Coordinate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of repairs and updates.
+ Order necessary materials and tools as needed.
+ Conduct safety morning huddles.
+ Ensure all vehicles are up-to-date with inspections and compliance with DOT regulations.
Essential Skills
+ Management skills.
+ Diesel engine repair.
+ Supervision experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Management experience within a truck shop setting.
+ Understanding of Mike Vorsters Construction Management Economic and Management Program or similar.
+ Knowledgeable of DOT regulations.
+ Experience working on heavy equipment supporting the construction industry.
+ Open mindset towards new changes and growth.

Work Environment
The role is set in a truck shop environment supporting the construction industry. The manager will be hands-on, actively participating in mechanical tasks and not hesitating to assist with repairs.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Vancouver, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
