    Job Title: Quality Technician

    Job Description

    We manufacture stainless steel tanks for the dairy, food, and pharma industries. The Quality Inspector is responsible for maintaining quality standards by auditing in-process production, performing in-process and final inspections, and washing/cleaning finished products, including documentation of inspections.

    Responsibilities

    + Inspect in-process production at specific hold points.

    + Inspect finished products by confirming specifications on blueprints, conducting visual and/or measurement tests, and returning products for rework as necessary.

    + Inspect re-worked products.

    + Perform accurate mechanical, physical, and visual inspection of raw material, components, and sub-assemblies.

    + Coordinate the return of unacceptable materials.

    + Initiate non-conformance reports (material rejection notices) as required.

    + Reject defective parts, marking type of defect on part, container of parts, or inspection tag.

    + Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and confer with management or the Engineering Department to determine quality and reliability standards.

    + Maintain the calibration program.

    + Perform internal quality audits.

    + Inspect finished products for quality.

    Essential Skills

    + 1-2 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.

    + Experience in the manufacturing and/or service of pressure vessels or cargo tanks is a plus.

    + High school diploma or GED required.

    + Ability to pass a visual and Ishihara test.

    + Knowledge of DOT, FDA, and 3-A guidelines is a plus.

    + Meet or have the ability to meet Vehicle Inspector Requirements, Per 49CFR§396.19.

    + Meet or have the ability to meet Brake Inspector Requirements, Per 49CFR§396.25.

    + 2-3 years of inspection experience in the manufacturing and/or service of Specification cargo tanks and/or trailers.

    + Knowledge of DOT, FDA, TTMA, and 3-A guidelines.

    + Meet or have the ability to meet Registered Inspector Requirements, Per 49 CFR §180.409.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Associate’s Degree or BS in engineering or a related field is a plus.

    + Knowledge within DOT guidelines.

    + Experience with inspection, quality control, quality assurance, quality inspection, micrometers, calipers, blueprint reading, and visual inspection.

    Work Environment

     

    Work schedules include 1st shift from 5:00 to 6:00 am and flexible start times, or 2nd shift from Monday to Thursday, 3:30 pm to 2:00 am with 10-hour shifts, no overtime. Fridays usually require 4-5 hours of mandatory overtime. Employees have the option to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday if desired. Our new facility will open this year, enhancing the work environment.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Beloit, Wisconsin.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.

     

    401k - 3% match

     

    Holiday pay

     

    $5 premium for 2nd shift

     

    3-5% annual raises

    At 90 days: They get a week vacation paid and a potential raise based on their review

     

    Employees get 8 total PTO days off their first year (prorated from their start date) – and paid holidays.

    As we are a Hendrick company, we have great benefits, costs are lower, and only a $500 deductible for insurance. We also pay weekly.

     

    The Tuition is $5000 per year with passing grades.
