    Job Title: Mechanical Assembler 1st Shift

    Job Description

    As a Mechanical Assembler, you will play a crucial role in the Trim Shop, responsible for rebuilding armored trucks and vans from the frame up. Once stripped, these vehicles are equipped for armored transport, and you will be tasked with their complete reassembly, excluding the engine. Your work will involve following orders, utilizing parts from a provided cart, and installing components such as seats, doors, dashboards, bumpers, windshields, windows, handles, and lights. Upon completion, the vehicles should be fully rebuilt and ready for testing and shipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Rebuild and assemble armored trucks and vans from the frame up.

    + Install seats, doors, dashboards, bumpers, windshields, windows, handles, and lights.

    + Conduct minor electrical wiring for doors, lighting, and dashboards using plug-and-play techniques.

    + Ensure vehicles are fully rebuilt and ready for testing and shipment.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in mechanical assembly.

    + Experience with power tools and hand tools.

    + Ability to conduct electrical wiring and plug-and-play testing.

    + Mechanical aptitude and understanding of automotive repair and assembly.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to rebuild vehicles such as vans or trucks.

    + Experience in cutting and grinding using small hand tools, grinders, and sanders.

    + General labor skills with a focus on installation and assembly.

    Work Environment

     

    Work is conducted in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with an auto-body type feel, including trucks, welding, and cutting, which can be loud. Eye protection and steel-toed footwear are required. The shift is from 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holly Springs, Mississippi.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
