Description
A business analyst for the Single Counterparty Credit Limits (SCCL) regulation will play a vital role in establishing technology infrastructure, governance framework and regulatory compliance. The role will focus on partnering with the counterparty engine team to conceptualize and establish an organization wide counterparty engine using internal and external counterparty data sources. It involves partnering with the counterparty engine team to perform entity mastering or master data management (MDM) for entities such as customers, counterparties and obligors. The business analyst will play a vital role in the conceptualization, design and implementation of the SCCL regulation specific counterparty rules, attributes and hierarchy.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Entity Mastering: Partner with the counterparty engine team to create entity mastering rules, hierarchies and sequences.
+ Requirements: Partner with the counterparty engine team to elicit and document counterparty rules, attributes and hierarchy specific to the SCCL regulation.
+ Requirements: Partner with the IT team to elicit and document business requirements, functional requirements and technical requirements.
+ Requirements: Collaborate with the IT, counterparty engine and architecture teams to create the design, architecture, process flows and functional specifications.
+ Testing: Perform data validation, functional testing, scenario testing, regression testing and user acceptance testing for counterparty rules, attributes and hierarchies.
+ Testing: Perform issue identification, issue remediation and error handling by analyzing and reconciling entity data.
+ Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis on counterparty data from systems, applications and data sources using SQL or other programming languages.
+ Data Analysis: Research counterparty systems, applications and data sources to create data mappings and data lineage.
+ Data Quality: Develop and implement data quality metrics to measure accuracy and completeness of counterparty data.
+ Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with stakeholders from various segments and lines of business such as IT, architecture and counterparty engine.
+ Process: Craft policies, procedures and protocols related to counterparty for the SCCL regulation.
+ Process: Identify areas of process improvement and recommend optimization strategies.
+ Miscellaneous: Performs other duties as assigned.
Following SCCL implementation, the following roles and responsibilities will be part of business as usual:-
+ Business As Usual: Perform daily monitoring and ensure daily compliance for the SCCL regulation.
+ Business As Usual: Perform root cause analysis, gap analysis, triage and validation on counterparty data, attributes, rules and hierarchy.
+ Business As Usual: Partner with the counterparty engine team and counterparty system experts to analyze and reconcile counterparty data, breaks and issues and produce exception reports.
+ Business As Usual: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the counterparty engine and stay up-to-date on projects, enhancements and transformations related to counterparty across the organization.
Basic Qualifications
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, finance, computer science or a related field.
+ Experience: 2-5 years of experience in business analysis or a related role.
+ Requirements: Experience with writing business requirements, functional requirements or functional specifications.
+ SQL: Experience with data analysis tools such as MS Excel, SQL etc.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Entity Mastering: Knowledge or experience in entity mastering, master data management (MDM), counterparty attributes and counterparty hierarchies.
+ Data: Experience in banking or financial services industry working with counterparty data for consumer, commercial and investments segments.
+ Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve entity / counterparty data inconsistencies and issues.
+ Systems: Experience in counterparty management applications such as CIS, Salesforce, Bloomberg, S&P, FIBO Ontology etc.
+ Project Management: Knowledge or experience in project management methodologies such as waterfall and agile.
+ Data Governance: Knowledge or experience in data management principles and practices, including data governance and data quality.
+ Best Practices: Knowledge of entity data management best practices.

Compensation Range:
$63,000 - $124,000 Annual Salary
The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
