Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform efficient and effective maintenance activities to maximize safe production of quality products, minimize cost, and protect the environment. Your role will involve daily tasks aligned with site goals, sustaining knowledge, skills, and abilities required for equipment maintenance. You will rebuild large gearboxes, align pumps, and perform other rotary equipment rebuilds, including welding tasks.
Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoot, fabricate, install, repair, calibrate, check, and adjust equipment, controls, facilities parts, and services.
+ Collaborate closely with Electrical and Instrument Technicians and Operating Technicians, assisting teammates in tasks beyond typical responsibilities.
+ Assist in maintaining parts inventory and support site safety and security.
+ Plan work with operations, contractors, and other plant personnel.
+ Communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels, maintaining a respectful work environment.
+ Understand and troubleshoot low voltage electrical systems (480V and below).
+ Unwire and rewire equipment for maintenance and perform basic instrument troubleshooting.

+ Proficiency in using maintenance management software

Work Environment
You will work in an industrial manufacturing plant equipped with machines, conveyors, and more. The position follows a 2,2,3 shift schedule, with training on days (8am-5pm Mon-Fri) for 1-2 months before transitioning to nights (7pm-7am). Enjoy the possibility of 8-36 hours of overtime per month and shift differential. Experience a hands-on process involving a shredding process, chemical baths, repulping, and transportation to the Thermoforming department. Engage with equipment like screw presses, blend tanks, agitators, servo motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and refiners.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vonore, Tennessee.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $34.00/hr.
