    Position: UPK Teaching Assistant (Posting Number 2526-3379)

     

    Start Date: August 26, 2025

     

    Requirements: Must have NYS Certification as a Teaching Assistant - Level I, Level II or Level III or have NYS certification as a teacher

    We strongly welcome candidates with the following qualifications:

    + Works well on a team

    + Experience in an elementary setting preferred

    + Possess excellent classroom management skills

    + Capable of lifting and supporting students with toileting when necessary

    + Experience supporting young students in social emotional learning in a play-based environment.

    + Exemplify the WCSD vision, Core Beliefs, and Essential Skills

    + Must have a professional repertoire including but not limited to organization, time management, technology skills and approach

    Responsibilities:

    + Collaborate with teachers

    + Support students with Instructional projects

    + Assists students with physical care tasks and health-related activities as appropriate. Examples could include: feeding, dressing, transfers between equipment, and toileting.

     

    Salary: As per current Educational Support Association Agreement (ESA) as well as education and experience
