    42 miles east of Winston-Salem, Greensboro is a city in North Carolina. The Greensboro Science Center houses red pandas, sharks and a hands-on museum. Nearby, Guilford Courthouse National Military Park has displays on the American Revolution. Video re-enactments and interactive exhibits trace the civil rights struggle at the International Civil Rights Center & Museum. The Bog Garden is a wetlands area with flowers, birds and an elevated boardwalk.

     

    The plant was built in 1977 manufactures polystyrene foam protein trays, and has approximately 190 employees. In 2015, The Greensboro facility received an award from the State of North Carolina for working over one million hours without an OSHA lost time.

    Responsibilities

    DESCRIPTION:

    Incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of manufacturing, engineering, logistics, EH&S and facilities at plant. Establish local strategy, leadership of workforce and interface with key internal customer group. Typically responsible for a plant population of 151-300 employees:

    Duties include:

    • Management of annual operating plan and deployment of resources to achieve production commitments.

    • Leadership of all aspects of safety management for the location, including establishment of effective safety programs, investigate safety incidents and establish/meet safety targets.

    • Support internal customer groups to ensure attainment of EBIT targets and delivery of finished products to meet customer expectations.

    • Leadership in implementing special initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing.

    • Direct site capital programs and expenditures to support strategic operations goals.

    • Comply with all local, state and federal regulations.

    • GMP Responsibilities:

    + Provide adequate resources and facilities to ensure that all requirements are properly communicated, implemented and followed.

    + Ensure that all products manufactured, meet said requirements and provide for proper disposition of non-compliant products

    + Execute said duties to maintain compliance with stated product safety/GMP, legal, regulatory and quality systems requirements.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • BS/BA in engineering or business with 5+ years experience in manufacturing operations including management/supervisory experience required.

    • Must have financial aptitude, analytical skills and proven leadership effectiveness.
