Description
If you are looking for an exciting career opportunity in the IT, engineering, software development, logistics, and project management fields, Linchpin Solutions is the place to be! We are currently hiring for a dynamic and experienced Tactical Data Link (TDL) Analyst.
Clearance:Active DoD Secret Clearance
Work Schedule:Onsite with occasional travel. Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week. Extended hours may be required during test events.
Role Overview:
The TDL Analyst will support the assessment, verification, and evaluation of Air Command and Control (C2) systems by performing technical analysis of Information Exchange Requirements (IERs), Tactical Data Link (TDL) interfaces, and system requirements. The role involves selecting appropriate test tools and data management strategies, performing real-time monitoring of TDL standards compliance, conducting interoperability and performance assessments, and executing root cause analysis of system issues. This position will also prepare comprehensive reports, ensure compliance with applicable MIL-STDs and NATO references, and support test planning and execution in conjunction with government personnel.

Specific Skillset
+ Perform technical assessments of Air C2 systems Information Exchange Requirements (IERs), TDL interfaces, and system requirements for verification or evaluation
+ Recommend appropriate test tools, data logging options, data reduction, and post-test analysis solutions matched to IERs, TDLs, and interfaces
+ Provide alternative recommendations for data collection and management strategies
+ Support test planning and coordination by providing technical input and options to test support personnel
+ Configure, connect, and prepare data collection devices; ensure proper time synchronization (Zulu/Local) and report discrepancies
+ Start, monitor, stop, archive, and organize collected data according to Command policy and test director guidance
+ Report data loss or collection discrepancies promptly to test leadership
+ Monitor test execution for exceptions to TDL standards and report in real-time
+ Track verification of Problem Change Request (PCR) resolutions, MIL-STD compliance, and potential new issues
+ Verify system compliance with applicable MIL-STDs (6016, 6020, 6017A/B, 3011, 6040) and NATO Improved Link Eleven (NILE) references based on system requirements
+ Conduct interoperability and performance assessments per CJCSM 6120.01 Joint Multi-TDL Operating Procedures
+ Verify performance of data exchanges through intermediary applications and/or radio terminal/modem devices in accordance with interface control documents
+ Perform root cause analysis to support test and engineering events
+ Provide data collection reports in accordance with the MCTSSA Data Management Plan
+ Annotate deviations or observations regarding TDL standards during test execution
+ Execute post-test analysis and reporting using specified formats, styles, and timelines set by the test plan/test director
Requirements
Education & Certifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field (preferred)
+ Additional certifications in Tactical Data Links or MIL-STD systems (preferred)
+ JT-101 (preferred)
Experience Requirements
+ Minimum of 4–6 years’ experience in tactical data link operations, Air C2 systems testing, or similar military systems analysis
+ Experience with MIL-STD compliance verification and TDL interoperability testing
+ Prior experience in post-test analysis, root cause assessment, and technical reporting
