Description
If you are looking for an exciting career opportunity in the IT, engineering, software development, logistics, and project management fields, Linchpin Solutions is the place to be! We are currently hiring for a dynamic and experienced Fire Support Cell Operations Specialist.
Clearance:Active DoD Secret Clearance
Work Schedule:Onsite, Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week, with additional support during test events as required.
Role Overview:
The Network Engineer will install, configure, modify, and troubleshoot local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and virtual networks across all levels of the OSI model (Layers 1–4). This role involves analyzing and improving network infrastructure for reliability and performance in both test and tactical environments, investigating and implementing emerging network technologies, and collecting network data for event analysis and reporting. The position plays a critical role in supporting MCTSSA test and engineering environments while enhancing Marine Corps tactical network capabilities.

+ Skilled in preparing and delivering technical reports and briefings
Specific Skillset
+ Install, modify, and troubleshoot LANs, WANs, and virtual networks at OSI Layers 1–4 (Physical, Data, Network, Transport)
+ Analyze network infrastructure, provide recommendations, and implement improvements to increase reliability and throughput for MCTSSA test and tactical networks
+ Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of test/engineering network infrastructures in conjunction with air C2 systems and develop strategies for improved performance
+ Research and evaluate emerging LAN, WAN, and virtual network technologies for integration into USMC tactical and test networks
+ Collect and manage network data from test and engineering events to support analysis and reporting efforts
Requirements
Education & Certifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or related field (preferred)
+ Relevant networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, Network+, Security+, CCNP) highly preferred
Experience Requirements
+ Minimum 4–6 years of experience in network engineering, installation, and troubleshooting
+ Hands-on experience with LAN/WAN and virtual network design, implementation, and support
+ Familiarity with DoD and/or USMC tactical networks and systems preferred
