Description
This role leads and develops an Account Management team to execute strategic omni-channel sales plans, driving growth, market share, and rankings across North America. Collaborating with the General Manager and VP of Commercial, the individual will help balance retailer portfolios to maximize profitable growth while executing brand strategy. Focused on strengthening key partnerships, particularly with Specialty Multi-Channel retailers like ULTA and Sephora, as well as managing the evolving Amazon relationship, this position is integral to the company’s commercial success and future growth plans.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the GM and VP Commercial, the ED, Account Management plays a pivotal role in building a digitally led business across a mix of existing and emerging retail partners as well as wholesale driving the integration of brick & mortar and online into one consistent omnichannel customer experience.
Leadership
Inspire and develop a diverse account management team while fostering ELC’s culture of leadership at all levels. Drive regional brand strategy by identifying growth opportunities and competitive threats. Champion inclusive leadership, talent development, and cross-functional mobility to unlock individual and organizational potential.
Strategic Partnership and Account Strategy
Develop and execute account strategies that align with the brand's long-term vision, focusing on sustainable growth and market expansion within SMC retailers and Amazon. Leverage strong relationships with all levels of the retailer organization to drive collaborative growth initiatives. Partner with Field teams and education to communicate goals and changes. Market Share Expansion
Drive initiatives to increase the brand's market share in SMC channels, leveraging deep understanding of local market nuances, retailer dynamics, and strategic growth levers. Work with field leaders to drive bricks expansion and leverage freelancers to drive awareness and growth across >1800 SMC doors.
Financial Management & Supply Planning
Owns key P&L elements and manages spend to maximize ROI and sales, aligning with seasonal targets across sales, staffing, promotions, and capex. Oversees budget planning and allocation to drive profitability and growth, including full ownership of the Capex process for SMU accounts. Leads monthly forecasting, partnering with internal and retailer teams to ensure accurate demand planning and high fill rates.
Vision and Execution
Define and execute a vision for sustainable, medium-to-long-term growth by partnering with retailers to create and implement strategic action plans. Collaborate with the GM and Commercial leadership to align channel vision and resource allocation. Lead supply planning and merchandising efforts, ensuring cross-functional coordination to prioritize business needs, accurately forecast supply, and align retailer plans and open-to-buy. Continuously assess and optimize assortments to maximize productivity across new and existing products.
Marketing & Merchandising
Collaborate with Marketing and Retail partners to maintain a relevant assortment and develop account-specific marketing calendars aligned with brand and retailer strategies. Lead the planning and execution of 360° campaigns for launches and hero products, including media network initiatives, search, and sponsored content. Ensure creative assets and messaging resonate with the SMC consumer, approve visual merchandising, and program strategic discounts to drive recruitment and volume during peak traffic periods.
Qualifications
• 12+ years relevant experience in prestige beauty/fragrance, department stores, or sales/retail business development are required.
• Proven track record of successful relationship building; strong business acumen and financial ability
• Extensive business experience (i.e., P&L management, main drivers of business, savvy with standard business analyses)
• Expert understanding of primary levers and components to a successful marketing campaign; digital marketing and e-commerce business experience are desired
• Strategic thinker and able to lay out a cohesive and clearly articulated strategy to drive the brand
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation-based communication skills required.
• Strong project management capabilities with extreme attention to detail
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Limited domestic travel required within US
• Travel Time: 30%
Pay Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is **$154,000.00** to **$264,750.00** . Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
