    We are seeking a dedicated CDL Material Handler to join our team.

     

    In this vital role, you will be rresponsible for driving MPE full truckloads to and from the MPE plant to various different offsite storage locations and to MPE customer locations. This role may also involve driving MPE’s straight truck to and from offsite storage locations and MPE customer locations. This position will also load and unload his or her own truck with a stand-up forklift or pallet jack.

    Shift Available: First Shift 6:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday-Flexible

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Driving the MPE semi-tracker or 52-foot trailer with completed product to and from MPE offsite storage locations or to MPE customers. Driving distance may vary but not expected to exceed 150 miles round trip per day

    + Loading and unloading trucks in the shipping department using stand up forklifts or pallet jacks

    + Maintain transportation records by completing driver log; obtaining shipper and receiving authorizations; filing documents

    + Reporting requirements, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining equipment, preventative maintenance as required

    + Maintain safe and secure transportation environment by protect loads; adhering to organization and other regulatory standards and policies.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    + High school diploma or equivalent required.

    Experience and Training:

    + Must have a Commerical Driver's License with a clean driving record

    + Previous forklift experience

    Physical and Mental Demands:

    + Regularly required to drive, see, and hear

    + Must be able to drive CDL and forklifts

    + Specific abilities include lifting up to 50 pounds
