Position Summary:

The Innovation Operation Manager & Claims is responsible for leading process improvement initiatives and logistics-related claims resolution within Samsung SDS America’s operations. This dual-function role combines strong innovation project leadership and claims management expertise, focusing on warehouse optimization and automation projects. The ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proven experience in logistics, claims, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities:
Innovation & Project Management:
+ Lead warehouse optimization and automation projects from initiation through execution.
+ Define project scope, deliverables, and success metrics aligned with business goals.
+ Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, IT, Engineering, and third-party vendors to drive technology implementation.
+ Analyze warehouse layouts, workflows, and productivity data to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
+ Pilot and implement solutions including robotics, automation tools, and process redesigns.
+ Communicate project updates and performance metrics to leadership, ensuring alignment and support.
+ Provide on-site assessments, staff training, and implementation support to ensure project success.
+ Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across all warehouse operations.
Claims Management:
+ Manage and lead the team responsible for handling logistics claims and complaints from customers, carriers, and brokers.
+ Oversee the entry, tracking, and resolution of claims in systems such as TMS, WMS, and etc.
+ Analyze incidents involving cargo damage, trailer issues, and property damage, and evaluate supporting data (e.g., incident reports, photos, videos).
+ Determine claim validity and provide resolution strategies, including coordination with insurance carriers and external adjusters.
+ Overseeing negotiation and settlements and process damage claim payments in accordance with company policy and legal guidelines.
+ Document and maintain SOPs related to logistics claims handling and support continuous improvements to minimize claim recurrence.
+ Identify trends and root causes of claims through data analysis and recommend preventative measures.
+ Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on claim trends and resolution effectiveness.
+ This claim management role will be a temporary dual assignment combining the responsibility of innovation operation
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree a plus.
+ 5+ years of experience in logistics, claims management, or warehouse operations.
+ 2+ years of project management or continuous improvement experience in a logistics or warehouse environment.
+ Strong understanding of TMS/WMS systems and logistics claims processes.
+ Experience with automation, warehouse technologies, and process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma preferred).
+ Excellent analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills preferred.
+ Work Location: 3033 W. President George Bush Hwy, Suite 250, Plano, TX 75075 (onsite)
Preferred Skills:
+ PMP or other project management certification.
+ Experience working in a 3PL or high-volume warehouse environment.
