    Summary:

    We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Trade Support Specialist to join our team. This role provides advanced expertise in trade flows, securities processing, vendor management, and settlement processes within the broker-dealer environment. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of a wide range of Broker/Dealer products and systems, including Broadridge BPS, ICI, COGNOS, DTCC - MUSA, FICC, Postedge, IHS Markit WSO, GLOSS, Loanet, and EquiLend, with a strong focus on supporting our Operations teams in cash management, trade movement, and settlement. This individual will leverage strong analytical capabilities and back-office acumen to excel in a fast-paced setting.

    Responsibilities:

    + Trade Flow Management: Monitor and analyze trade flows across diverse asset classes (fixed income, equities, repo, triparty) to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate with traders and internal teams to facilitate timely trade capture and confirmation. Perform detailed trade data reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.

    + Securities Processing Expertise: Manage the full lifecycle of securities processing, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and internal policies. Expertise with a broad range of instruments including Equities, Fixed Income (Bonds, Treasuries), Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS), Securitized Products, Repos/Reverse Repos, Stock Borrow/Loan, Secondary Loans, and Derivatives. Experience with systems such as Broadridge BPS, ICI, and Postedge is highly valued.

    + Cash Management Support: Provide expert support for cash management activities, including monitoring daily cash positions, investigating cash discrepancies, and ensuring accurate and timely cash movements. Collaborate with Treasury and Operations teams to optimize cash flow and minimize risk.

    + Settlement Support: Provide critical support to Operations teams, including troubleshooting settlement issues, investigating settlement discrepancies, and assisting with settlement-related inquiries. Collaborate closely with Settlement teams to ensure timely and accurate settlement of all trades.

    + Vendor Relationship Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors to optimize operational efficiency and promptly resolve system or process-related issues. Serve as a primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and escalations. Proactively monitor vendor performance and recommend enhancements.

    + Settlement Process Proficiency: Maintain a deep understanding of settlement processes within the broker-dealer industry, staying informed of relevant regulations and compliance requirements. Contribute to the development and documentation of best practices for settlement procedures. Proficient in navigating settlement systems including DTCC - MUSA.

    + Technical & Analytical Application: Utilize SQL for advanced data extraction, analysis, and reporting. Conduct thorough research to support informed decision-making and effective problem-solving. Employ technical skills to identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities. Experience with COGNOS and FICC systems is a plus. Collaborate with IT to resolve technical issues and support system enhancements.

    + Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Ensure adherence to all regulatory guidelines and internal policies. Assist in the maintenance of accurate compliance records and reports. Proactively identify and escalate potential risks or compliance issues to senior management.

    Requirements:

    + Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

    + 8+ years of progressive experience within a broker-dealer back-office or equivalent financial operations role.

    + Extensive practical experience with a comprehensive range of Broker/Dealer products and core systems, including: Equities, Fixed Income (Bonds, Treasuries), ABS, MBS, Securitized Products, Repos/Reverse Repos, Stock Borrow/Loan, Secondary Loans, and Derivatives.

    + Demonstrated expertise with systems such as Broadridge BPS, ICI, COGNOS, DTCC - MUSA, FICC, Postedge, IHS Markit WSO, GLOSS, Loanet, and EquiLend.

    + Strong understanding of broker-dealer settlement processes and regulatory requirements.

    + Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting.

    + Exceptional research and analytical skills.

    + Solid problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.

    + Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, particularly with Operations teams.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

     

    The typical base pay range for this role is between $134K - $165K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
