    Library Database Coordinator

    Summary:

    Provides support to the district’s teacher librarians and media secretaries in the management of the school library database.

    Endorsements:

    School Teacher Librarian K-8, 5-12, or K-12

    Requirements:

    + Must have a minimum of 5 years working as a librarian

    + A minimum of 1 year of CRCSD librarian experience.

    Duties:

    + Assigns new media specialists usernames and passwords

    + Instructs new media specialists on how to use the school library database

    + Attends online vendor training on updates to school library database and then provides instruction to media specialists and media secretaries on the updates

    + Establishes a cataloging standard for the school library database and instructs media specialists on the standard

    + Coordinates with the Library Content Lead on interlibrary loan policies and procedures

    + Assists content lead and Executive Director of Digital Literacy and Information Technology on running reports from school library database

    + Works with IT department on the integration of patrons from student information system to school library database

    + Works with Curriculum and Instruction Department on maintaining curriculum resources within school library database

    + Works with Executive Director of Digital Literacy and Information Technology to evaluate yearly license for school library database and ensure the fee is paid on time

     

    Term: 12 month, short-term contract

     

    Compensation: $2,000 stipend
