Licensed Practical Nurse, OP - Somerset Allergy

Somerset Health Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Somerset Allergy Office. This full-time outpatient role offers the opportunity to work in a specialized clinical setting, supporting patients with allergy-related conditions. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, organized, and skilled in both clinical procedures and patient communication.
Responsibilities:
+ Draw blood and perform IV therapy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
+ Administer medications including oral, subcutaneous (SQ), intramuscular (IM), and IV drip.
+ Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
+ Assess patients’ general condition, including taking vital signs and weight.
+ Document all clinical activities, interventions, medications, and patient responses in the medical record.
+ Promote wellness by providing patient education materials and communicating physician instructions.
+ Maintain strict confidentiality of medical records and sensitive patient data.
+ Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health, and other regulatory agencies.
+ Follow all Somerset Health Services policies and procedures.
+ Support a safe and efficient outpatient environment through professional and compassionate care.
+ Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
+ One-year clinical experience preferred.
+ Prior allergy injection experience preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
+ CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
+ Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
+ Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
+ Act 33 with renewal
+ Act 34 with renewal
+ Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
*Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
