    Position Description

The Parts Specialist will be part of a dynamic team at our Fort Bliss, Texas location.     This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer a Secret clearance.

     

    Serco supports the US Army as a prime contractor for their Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) contract which supports implementing capabilities that enable the service to employ Command Posts (CP) across the operational spectrum. Our team develops, integrates, and maintains modern and mobile solutions for an integrated CP infrastructure.

     

    You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco functional area teams to deliver quality systems and associated supporting documentation. The team has been recognized by the Army Customer and the industry for their outstanding contributions to the program.

    In this role, you will:

    + Conduct market research for various parts and materials

    + Purchase parts and materials adhering to purchasing standards and regulations

    + Conduct and document receipt inspections and coordinate returns as applicable

    + Stock accepted parts and materials

    + Distribute parts and materials to engineering and technician staff per policy and procedures

    + Update and maintain an inventory database

    + Create and maintain a Bill of Materials

    Qualifications

    To be successful in this role, you will have:

    + An active Secret clearance

    + A high school diploma

    + 2 years of purchasing experience

    + Experience in data entry

    + Knowledge of MSOffice computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

    + Travel up to 10%

    Additional desired experience and skills:

    + Knowledge of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and/or Government logistics and inventory databases.

    + Knowledge of supply and warehouse operations; preferably within Government or Military operations

    + Knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001:2015

    + Forklift operator experience is a plus
